June 14 Sam turned 11.
June 16 I fell down the stairs and badly twisted my ankle.
June 17 I went to the hospital and was given an ace wrap, thanks Obama.
June 21, first day of summer!
June 23, we watched the “super moon” come up over the marina. The time spent with family was far more amazing than the moon.
June 28, I drove “across the bay” to get the In laws. We had a lovely visit.
June 30 (today) I drove back, car broke down, sat at toll plaza in Air Conditioning for two hours. What a gift to NOT be on the side of the road. Praise be to God!
July 3, Geri arrives for a few days visit and we are SOOOOOO excited. We are going to relax and swim and get sun burnt and jelly fish stung and have a great time. I love Geri and have missed her!
I have been getting a few shots here and there. Let me upload some for you now. Kisses!
This is a turtle that we found. It was already dead but so so beautiful.
The boys during low tide at our little beach.
Sam is so graceful. I love how this picture captured that!
The sun sets into the clouds.
There it goes!
Jack waves “HI” from the bulkhead.
Sailboat out after sun set. Amazing.
I ordered a hammock that arrived yesterday afternoon. I immediately put it up and laid in it. After about two hours Max brought out the camera and iphone and we went to snapping. I told him I was going for some abstract images as well as some fun sun images. Towards Sunset Noah and Sam came out and were watching the sun go down. By the end of it all I had spent time with each of the boys, and alone time with God. I stayed up late last night and put it all together into an imovie. I hope you enjoy it!
We used the indoor/built into the back of the fireplace/in the breezeway grill this weekend. We also spent time outside in the water (duh!) and with Scott, who had a weekend off work! We also went on a lunch date but I didn’t get any pictures of that cause y’all don’t want to see all that smoochy smoochy stuff. EWW!
Jack wears hot clothes and then complains of how hot he is. But when I tell him it’s going to be hot, he just says “this is my uniform”. Love that little weirdo.
I unpacked the boots on Saturday, and Jack put them on right away. Never mind that they are three sizes too big. Why should that stop him?
Strike a pose! See that knife? He’s scurry, he’s going to scare away any bad guy or evil crab or cranky minnow. Just watch it!
Totally rad feature in the house right? I need to buy stock in charcoal!
Max wanted to pose NEXT to the grill but without getting hot. Well that was awkward !
Rare sighting of the american male I call my husband. I tried to get one of his FACE and he literally did the whole “stop paparazzi” hand in the camera thing. Dude, it’s NOT going to steal your soul!!
Max, strike a pose!
Sam’s turn to pose for me. He’s too busy talking about crabs and minnows to really care about what I’m telling him to do. That’s cool man!
That’s a little better. Hey there’s that dimple! LOVE IT!
Walking on rocks. Watch out!
Only a mom can pick out her kids feet by their color and shape. It’s so weird how they’re all so different, and from the same gene pool.
Are you scared? You should be! This guy is going to be a leader, and maybe a lawyer. He sat Scott down last week for some one on one talking time. He walked into the room and said “Mom, I need to have a conversation with dad.” Then proceeded to really challenge Scott with some tough stuff! He’s not afraid of a confrontation or of speaking his mind, and he did it all with great respect. I’m proud of him!
That was our Saturday, minus all the smoochy smoochy from our date.
