This has been a GREAT summer, super mild temperatures and NO stinging nettles, at least not in the water that we swim in. I took these shots farther inland, at the Wharf. Aren’t the pretty little devils?
Yeah, their sting is THAT bad.
When thinking about where I live, I have a few spots that visually really bring me peace. The church on Market with the huge stain glass flower, the view of the sunset from my backyard or of the moonrise from the marina. This one is also one of my favorites. It’s the view from the bridge nearest the yummy Corner Bakery.
We go this way when we take Noah to work, or when we are driving to visit Scott at the Wharf. It’s a lovely little spot to stop and take a snap. I’ve shared it here before but I felt this shot got a clearer image than the last one. Do you see why it’s easy to be at peace living here? I love it, and would love to stay for the rest of my life and to stop being a “come here” and start being a “stay here”. We will see, only time will tell.
Remember when “flare” was all the rage a minute ago? 🙂 It seems my iPhone handed down to me from my dearly departed dad, is really good at getting flare. It does weird red blobs with the right or wrong kind of sun, depending on your perspective of flare. Here’s a collection of my favorite. I didn’t add any flare to any of these post production. The most I ever do post is to crop and adjust the contrast and to adjust the tilt because I’m the WORST at getting things lopsided.
I can see how God would look upon a sky like this and say “it is good”. Did you know however, that the one day He didn’t say “it is good” was the second day or “yom” when He separated the sky from the earth and the outer realm outside our atmosphere? Interesting little tidbit. Just call me the queen of useless information today.
